Summary :
Kyoko Mogami is a wistful yet cheery sixteen-year-old girl who loves her childhood friend, Shotaro, but is cruelly betrayed. Kyoko, vowing revenge, changes her appearance and tries to enter the entertainment business. Little does she know that her journey will not go as smoothly as she thought. She enrolls in an acting course, and from there her talents develop. Skip Beat follows Kyoko's journey to climb the showbiz ladder as she meets interesting people along the way, at first in the hopes of revenge, but ultimately to find herself in the end.
