Though divided by arcs in Manga Traders for convenience, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (no subtitle) as a series spans the first 5 parts with a total of 63 volumes, and only began restarting its volume count and setting itself apart from the others with Part 6.

Phantom Blood, the story that began the long running series, stars Jonathan Joestar and the ambitious Dio Brando. It shows how a stone mask is found and how it changes their lives forever (in a bizarre like no other way), and how Jonathan and his friend, Robert Speedwagon, team up with Will Zeppeli to learn the powers of The Ripple (Hamon), and to stop this new found evil.
