Summary :
Hoshi no Yakata, the Palace of Stars, is a "gentleman's club" which caters to men who are interested in a variety of BDSM activities. Located in a secluded suburb of Japan, this large European-style mansion provides both a refuge, and a home, for a unique collection of employees.
Sakurai Masahito, the Master of Hoshi no Yakata, who is adept at maneuvering others against their will... sometimes against their own interests.
Sumiya, a strong dominator, who has become interested in a recurring passive client.
Ever present Hirofumi, who serves all of the staff as though they are family.
Akito, and the client he alone, of the entire staff, will serve - Shiose.
The diminutive (chibi) Kauro, who is learning what it means to dominate others - when he forgets to care for them so intimately.
Natsumi, of the gentle kiss, who leaves unnoticed in the midst of the series.
Complications arise with their nearest competitor Airenrou, the Tower of Compassion, after a dispute arises over one of their employees sent for training. Trying to resolve the dispute, and the bad feelings it generates, leads to further issues with clients, government officials and the police. This storyline continues through out the series; personal histories, concerns and rivalries provide shorter story arcs.
Note: The artwork within this manga is quite detailed and graphic. Due to its variety of BDSM activities, occasionally of an extreme nature, readers may want to avoid this series.
