Summary :
Hideki Motosuwa is a repeat student whose down on his luck, and down on his money. Not only is he struggling to maintain his life, he also has to deal with being repeatedly called a "nice guy" but never getting any! On top of that, he lives in a world inhabited by "persocoms." Computers which take human form, and can do almost anything you program it to! Hideki desperately wants one to improve his own life, but he's strapped for cash as it is. Hopeless in almost all aspects, Hideki's life seemed to be going in an infinite downward spiral. However, one day his luck changes when he finds a thrown away persocom! After activating it, and naming it Chi, Hideki learns he must teach the clueless machine every about every day life! However, there's more than meets the eye to Chi. Can Hideki protect his precious persocom from those who wish to use her... or even destroy her? And what exactly is a "Chobit"? Can Hideki find all this out, and resist in falling in love with a machine?
