Hey sorry, just thought the previous summary was lacking a bit and didn't do the manga justice.
OK, so here it goes:
This manga puts a great twist on a Shakespearean hit. The story revolves around the many battles between two gangs in Shanghai: "Toulon" and "Xianglongji". On the day of the "Feast of the Seventh Night" two teenagers meet and unexpectedly fall in love without knowing that they each belong to the other gang. (can you guess the Shakespearean tale?) They meet up secretly and continue their affair until the rest of the gang members start to get suspicious. The two teens must eventually chose what is more important: Their love, or the risk of loosing those they consider to be closer then family. Relationships are made and broken, unexpected feelings and confessions are uncovered, people die, and shit hits the fan. The manga is chalk full of drama, romance, action and suspense, with an ending that keeps you in wonder.
Now, I know that most of you are thinking that this is just another knock off of an overused story. You know basically how it begins, what happens and how it ends. Well for those who are thinking this, you are fortunately wrong. The manga may follow the basic story line but the many twists and unexpected events keep you on the edge of your seat. It's definitely a great read.
Edit: It follows the tragic story of Romeo and Juilet with a different time and setting.
