Summary :
Watanuki Kimihiro is haunted by visions of ghosts and spirits. Seemingly by chance, he encounters a mysterious witch named Yûko, who claims she can help. In desperation, he accepts, but realizes that he's just been tricked into working for Yûko in order to pay off the cost of her services. Soon he's employed in her little shop- a job which turns out to be nothing like his previous work experience!

A note on the chapter numbers:
The earlier volumes (v01-12) of this series were scanslated from volume raws. The volume releases contained fewer 'chapter' breaks than the number of magazine scans that went into each volume. This leads to a the series having a much smaller number of 'chapters' if you count the break pages in the volume releases than if you count each magazine release as one chapter. We can't figure out which magazine chapters went into which older volumes in order to count magazine chapters from the beginning of the series because it's been so long so we're stuck with what we've got. Since groups are now releasing scans from magazine raws, Mangatraders has transitioned to counting chapters in volumes for xxxHolic by the magazine number starting with volume 13.

This means that to confirm the contents of a volume one can't just rely on a chapter count or credits page. You must find a raw and figure out which magazine chapter lines up wth the end of what is in the raw. Assumptions won't be accepted, if you can't confirm that your volume upload has all the magazine chapters that were bound into the latest volume release then don't upload it.
