Summary :

Pokemon Adventures/Special is an adaptation of the Pokémon video game series from Nintendo. It follows the adventures of trainers based off the main characters of the different games, starting with Red and his Bulbasaur, joined with his rival Green (US: Blue) and the Squirtle thief Blue (US: Green) in Kanto, followed by Yellow in Kanto, Gold, Silver, and Crystal in Johto, and then Ruby and Sapphire in Hoenn, followed by a returning FireRed and LeafGreen, and then Emerald take over in Hoenn, and then Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum in Sinnoh. It began in late 1996 and has been going strongly since with 43 volumes released to date and HeartGoldSoulSilve completed. VIZ Media is planning to release the Diamond and Pearl chapters as a second stand-alone series, and VIZ Media has announced to release the Black & White chapters as a third stand-alone series (see related series).
